| Description of the problem | Driving approximately 60 mph on highway; looked over left shoulder to change lanes and heard loud pop. Seat fell back and to the left unexpectedly. This did cause me to go into another lane - thankfully there was no one there at that time. For the rest of the ride the seat bounced up and down and moved forwards and backwards. I see that i am not the only person who has had this issue. Nissan does sell a "bracket" to help reinforce this but it is over $1000. 00 or you can buy the seat brand new for $2-3,000. Especially if you have heat/electric to the seat. These prices do not include labor either. I have two small children with me every day and i am thankful that this did not end in an accident. It seems that eventually it may end that way for someone though. What does it take to have a safety recall? Does someone truly need to loose their life in order for a recall to happen? When you spend this much on a luxury vehicle you expect it to stand up and the maker behind it to stand behind it!!! I am extremely unhappy at this time with how nissan is handling this. |
