| Description of the problem | 2006 nissan murano; driver's seat fell down at the rear of the seat. Dealer states that it is a commonly known failure of the seat's "lift assembly". Thankfully, i was on a straight road and no other vehicles were nearby when it happened. I swerved at the time and strained to pull over safely b/c i couldn't reach the pedals very well with the seat in the awkward position it was in. For sure, this could have been a disaster, and is a disaster waiting to happen on many vehicles. It's my understanding that poor manufacturing is to blame. Really, this should be recalled and replaced. What a danger! |
