Description of the problem	My seat has dislodged from the base in the back left of the drivers side seat just as many others have as well. I noticed it while driving around town when the seat rocked out of place. I took it to the dealer the next day to have it inspected. They said it was a failure and needed to be welded ($500) or the seat needed replacement ($1500). I asked if this was a common problem, and they responded no. Since it seemed so far beyond a normal issue with a vehicle, i decided to contact nissan north america to see if there was a recall or if something could be done to help. After a week long investigation, nissan offered no help. They were vague as to my inquiries if this had happened to other vehicles of the same make. After some further research i came across safecar. Org, and found it to be a common problem. Moreover, to find that an investigation took place already on the issue and was closed with no action is ridiculous and negligent. Does there have to be a major accident for this issue to be taken seriously? I hope the case gets reopened and the issue is prevented going forward.
