| Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2006 nissan murano. The contact stated that the alternator failed while driving 50 mph, causing the vehicle to experience a complete loss of power. The brake and battery lights illuminated within two miles of the failure occurring. In addition, the driver seat mount detached. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the alternator failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred two times.
