| Description of the problem | Driver's side sun visor on my 2005 nissan murano has loosened and falls in the driver's line of sight unexpectedly. It has been vertified by the dealership at a cost of almost $500. Nissan has been contacted and has refused to cover the replacement. It is a safely hazzard since it blocks the driver's vision and falls without warning. It will not stay where it should, either up or down, and is practically in the driver's face when it falls. Evidently it is an issue that has occured in nissan muranos since 2003 and the manufacturer knows about it and has not taken appropriate action to correct the problem with successive models nor to cover the cost for those owners whose autos are out of warranty. As with any recall issue, it is a safety issue that should be addressed. |
