Description of the problem	This was the third time the air intake hose fell off while the car was in motion causing the engine to instantly stall leaving the car disabled with no steering control. The first two times were in residential areas, but the third time was on a heavily traveled road at night causing a serious and extremely dangerous situation. The car was almost struck several times while i was removing my toddler from the backseat of the disabled car. Each of the three times the car has stalled i brought the car to nissan the next day and they said they previously replaced a different recall part in the air intake system, but the way the car was designed made the other end of the air intake hose likely to fall off due to vibration. They showed me how removing the air filter during routine maintenance can loosen the air intake hose, even when the clamp is tightened. I asked them to fix this problem and they said there was nothing they could do, it was just the way the hose was designed. I cannot imagine what could have happened if i had taken the highway home and the car had stalled at higher speeds. The suggested fix from nissan was to tighten the hose clamps each time the car is used, but it has happened three times now supposedly after the clamps were tightened by nissan service mechanics. This seems to be a serious defect and i am grateful that nobody hit us while the car was stalled. After three times, i am too scared to ever drive the car again.
