Description of the problem	I own a 2005 nissan murano. While driving, i heard a snapping sound and then the left side of my driver's seat began to lean towards the driver's door. The seat was very loose and each time i went around a curve or came to a stop the seat would shift dramatically. I took it to the dealer who said that this is a common problem with the murano. They have even published a service bulletin to their maintenance and repair departments on this matter. However, the part is not covered under any of the vehicle warranties and they wanted approx. $1200. 00 in parts and labor to replace the broken part, which turns out to be a weld in the driver's seat frame. I opted to take my vehicle to another repair shop, where they welded my existing seat frame back together for a cost of $100. 00. I feel that if nissan is aware that they have a problem that occurs often enough for them to alert their service dept. Of the matter that they should issue a recall on their defective parts.
