| Description of the problem | Drivers seat connection rail fails under normal driving conditions causing unstable driving conditions. This happened suddenly a few months ago while i was steering through a turn. The seat rail snapped, and the seat became detached on one side causing my weight to shift unexpectedly. This almost caused an accident. I brought the car to the dealer and they wanted $1,100 to repair it. $700 for 12" long seat rail. I ended up having another auto service weld the broken rail back together for half the cost, but as of today it has broken again. I'm 6' tall 200 lbs and the vehicle is driven mostly in city driving conditions. There is no reason for a seat rail to break under these conditions. |
