| Description of the problem | Without any apparent reason, the power driver's seat in my 2005 nissan murano began slightly tilting back and forth, similar to a rocking chair motion. Dealer stated the whole seat baseframe needs replacement. Cost of repair $800 plus. Of course the car has 40,000 miles on it and is 4000 miles over warranty. I have never heard of such an item needing repair on a vehicle with so few miles and never having been involved in a collision. Seems like a design flaw and should be replaced by nissan at no cost to the consumer. Through research on many internet sites, it seems this problem is more prevalent than i thought. Nissan should be made to issue a recall before someone get seriously injured or killed. |
