Description of the problem	I have been told by the nissan dealer that my transfer case needed to be replaced. It locked up when i was in the all-wheel drive mode over 50 mph. They initially told me this was a problem which has been addressed in new models but they were unwilling to consider a recall even though it leads to freeze-ups while being driven. Blogs clearly show that hundreds of written in regarding this issue with the 2003 and 2004 muranos. I paid over $5,500 and now have additional transmission issues just a few months later.
