Description of the problem	2004 nissan murano sl 2wd model just came to a stop while driving,restarted the engine then put the car in drive and engine stalls out,tried this over & over again but it continues to stall. I immediately had the car towed to the dealer and three days later they informed me that the automatic transmission failed (only 25003 miles). The automatic transmission was replaced but no one at nissan ever told me what caused the failure or gave me any confidence that this problem will not occur again soon. This was my wife's car and just stopping without any warning on a busy freeway could have resulted in someone running into her being unaware that her car has broken down. Unfortunately nissan doesn't make these cvt transmission so their mechanics i'm told do only removal & replacement (jatco makes the murano transmission). *jb
