| Description of the problem | Sidewall cracks on all 4 tires (goodyear eagle rsa 245-45-18) on my 2004 nissan maxima were apparent at about 20-25,000 miles. I was verbally notified about this defect by the nissan dealer, who recommended a complete new set of tires. I wanted a second opinion about the cracks, as there was still good tread left on the original tires. I took the car to discount tire co. They also said that the tires were cracked and therefore unsafe. I had all 4 of them replaced. Unfortunately, discount tire company didn't write the reason for replacement on my receipt (cracked sidewalls), and because of that omission, goodyear has denied me any redress at all. To date, they still haven't even sent the original receipt back to me. |
