| Description of the problem | Tl*the contact owns a 2004 nissan maxima. The contact was driving approximately 40 mph, the engine revved with an extremely high increase in the rpms. Suddenly, the vehicle began to jerk. On a separate occasion when pressure was applied to the accelerator pedal an unexpected increase in the speed rate occurred. The failures were intermittent. The vehicle was diagnosed by two different independent mechanics and they both informed that the failure was related to the transmission. The vehicle was not repaired when the complaint was filed.
