| Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2004 nissan maxima. The contact stated that while driving at an unknown low speed, the transmission continued to slip gears. The dealer advised the contact that the engine mounts were defective and would need to be replaced. The engine mounts were replaced and the transmission filter and fluids were replaced. One month later, the transmission failed. The vehicle was taken to a local repair facility where the contact was advised that the transmission would need to be replaced. The manufacturer was not contacted and the vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 98,000 and the current mileage was approximately 100,000. |
