Description of the problem	I bought a 2004 nissan maxima sl in 2007, with 41750 miles on it from nissan dealership in okc, oklahoma. In july 2009 the transmission started slipping when shifting from first to second gear at approx. 20-25mph. The car is an automatic with a v-6 engine. When this started the car had appox. 64k miles on it. I took the car to a local nissan dealership in july 2009 and they told me a drain and fill of the transmission fluid was needed. Within 3 weeks after performing the drain/fill the same shifting issue resulting. When braking or accelerating the transmission does not shift resulting in a severe jerking of the car. The jerking can be o harsh that my head will hit the head rest behind me when the transmission finally will shift. Current, my nissan maxima is once again back at the dealership and they are telling me that i need to replace the transmission. Once again my car only ha 64k miles and i've only owned it for 2 years the transmission issues must be own by nissan however they will not assist with answers or a recall. This might explain the extremely large difference in the retail price of the car the trade-in price of an 2004 maxima, it's close to a $10k difference. I bought my car for $20k+ and currently trade in is only $8-10k. Nissan needs to be held responsible to recalling these transmissions and replacing them with a new correct make.
