Description of the problemI own a 2004 nissan maxima with under 90,000 miles on it. The transmission on this model started slipping. There is a severe jerk in the tranny when the gears are shifting from 1st to 2nd and from 2nd to 1st. My car has even completely stalled. Not to mention the many times i have been going uphill and even pedal to the floor the car isn't moving. I have researched the issue on the internet and have noticed that there are hundreds of people experiencing the same issue. I was told by a dealer that the transmission would have to be replaced resulting in a bill over $3k. This is ridiculous when there is enough evidence that there should be a recall on this part. How many people have to complain about the situation. I've researched the many complaints submitted to this particular site and there are hundreds. Does someone have to die first before nissan takes action. This is a safety issue that needs to be taken seriously and addressed.
