| Description of the problem | I have a 2004 maxima that i purchased in 2/08 with only 30,000 miles at the time of purchase. Starting in may of 2008 i took the car in for a jerking sensation that i never felt before, the dealer said that it was a motor mount problem which was fixed. And just a month later i took the car back for the same problem and they told me that they had to flush the transmission, didn't work. In 9/08 they supposedly rebuilt my transmission but what do you know that today i had to take my car back to the dealer for the 7th time. They have my car now, i took it to them complaining of the same hard down shift jerking i feel when i downshift or turn corner, even as i almost come to a stop but continue to accelerate, the car shifts very hard, like a whiplashing feeling. I don't feel safe in the car anymore, i have to work and go to school and need reliable means of transportation for me and my children. I took it to nissan today and they told me that it was definitely a transmission problem and the only way to fix this problem would be to get a whole new transmission that i cannot afford and even the extended warranty that i purchased when i bought the vehicle doesn't cover a brand new transmission only a rebuilt one, and the rebuilt one is what is making my car worse. Nissan needs to take care of their customers and provide a recall for this problem, they are really loosing customers this way because right now i would not recommend a nissan to anyone, if they took better care of there guest and fixed all the transmission problems and they do know that there is a problem then maybe they would get better feedback from us paying consumers and we would recommend them to family and friends, and we would know nissan for taking good care of there guests. Please help everyone solve this matter before its to late. |
