Description of the problem	I noticed my 2004 maxima transmission slipping from 1st to 2nd gear and violently jerking i took my car to the dealer and they told me my motor mounts were broken i changed them($600) and the problem was not solved i took it back and they told me i was down a quart of transmission fluid but my transmission is not leaking anywhere so i made them supposedly fill it up i finally took my car to a transmission specialist and found that i have a defective transmission valve body after doing more research i found that this is a very common problem with the 04-06 nissan maximas, the specialist told me he gets them all the time, im sure if i kept going back to the dealer they would tell me i need a new $4500 transmission knowing that there valve bodies are defective this has to stop nissan is taking people on a run around with this issue i think the part should be recalled because it makes the car unsafe (example) when you step on the gas to take off the car feels like it stays in first gear to a certain point then slams into second gear while the car is in motion causing the car to launch forward this almost caused property damage in my case, to make it worse the dealers are telling people other things are wrong with there car instead of dealing with the issue and recalling the problem.
