| Description of the problem | As of november 19, 2008 my transmission on my 2004 nissan maxima sl is just about finished. I can no longer go any faster than 20 mph (1st gear automatic) when my car is in drive gear. The only way i can move is to put it into 2nd gear and i can only go as fast as 35 mph. This is an absolute atrocity, and nissan should be held responsible for this major defect. Without a working transmission, i cannot get to work nor take my child to daycare. Nissan changed the transmission fluid for a pricey $200, but that has done nothing to fix the problem. I am still left with a car that can't go no faster than 20 mph. |
