| Description of the problem | While driving on highway at 65 mph, the sunroof exploded. It sounded like a gun shot and glass flew everywhere inside and out of car. No road hazard or debris noted to cause any damage. No weather issues present. It was a clear day approximately 78 degrees f. The sunroof was closed at time of incident. It was extremely terrifying and caused confusion while travelling at highway speeds and trying to figure out what happened. This was a 4 lane highway with two lanes of traffic each way which could have been impacted would i have swerved or otherwise reacted to the sound or raining glass shards. Very dangerous situation. |
