| Description of the problem | Vehicle experienced odor of raw gasoline in ventilation system to passenger compartment while vehicle was on, particularly after startup. This odor could also be smelled on the exterior of the vehicle. Vehicle was taken to dealer and it was determined that a fuel pressure sensor leak was the problem and performed repair. After the vehicle was repaired, a web search showed that this same problem had a safety recall on this same vehicle (12v-069), but this vehicle just "out of the vin range" for the recall. The safety recall should be extended and owners advised of this safety issue that may occur, potentially causing a fire. |
