| Description of the problem | Child seat latch restraint system design is faulty for crew cab models. The anti tilt attachment point is low behind the seatback on the nissan frontier crew cab. To attach the strap you must tilt the seatback forward. You cannot adequately tighten the strap on most car seats, since attempting to do so causes the seatback to return to the upright position and you cannot completely tighten the strap before having to remove your hand. If the excess strap is long enough, the child seat becomes permanently mounted, because, then, you cannot tilt the seatback forward to access the strap tension-release mechanism. |
