Description of the problem	I was merging onto highway interstate 85 in traffic that was flowing at speeds of approximately 75-80 mph, and the vehicle failed to shift out of third gear. This incident forced me to take immediately action and pull to the side of the road, which put my life in danger during rush hour traffic. I learned from the nissan dealership that the transmission in vehicles that were manufactured the same year, make and model, were defected but there was no recall. Since that time, april 5, 2013 to be exact, the transmission in my vehicle has failed because of a manufacturers defect. Something needs to be done about this hazardous threat to consumers before someone get seriously injured or killed.
