Description of the problem	As i am driving, the transmission will not shift at 40 mph. I pull over and find out that it will not go into reverse, either. I drive over to the nissan dealership and find out that the part of the radiator that connects to the tranny has cracked and dumped all of the radiator fluid into the tranny, killing it. I need a new radiator and transmission. Nissan is covering the costs (for repairs but not alternate transportation for the week that it is taking to fix this) but upon returning home and looking online, i found out that nissan has known about this problem for about 5 years and instead of doing a recall (costing lots of money), they extended the warranty on the radiator assembly from 3 years/36,000 miles to 8 years/96,000 miles hoping that problems will occur after that time and then they are off the hook for repairs. How dangerous could this have been under different circumstances. I am angry and disgusted with the way nissan has handled a problem they know could have caused a serious safety risk.
