| Description of the problem | 2007 nissan frontier fuel sensor gauge not working properly. Vehicle gauge shows empty, check engine light comes on and low fuel light, all this with plenty of gas in tank. Sometimes fuel gauge will show 3/4 full and after gauge gets around 1/2 full, the gauge will drop to empty. Never sure how much fuel is in tank. Would not want to run out of gas and cause a crash. Nissan has recalls for the 2006 and 2008 frontier for the same issue. Nissan offered me $250. 00 towards the repairs at their dealership. I am not sure why the 2007 model's are not included in the recalls. Nissan is obviously aware of other year vehicles with the same problem and do not want to fix their defect at no charge to the customer. |
