Description of the problem	I own a 2007 nissan frontier se 4x4 crew cab pickup. I purchased the aforementioned vehicle new in 2007. Recently the "service engine soon" warning light came on. Shortly after the warning light came on i began to notice my fuel gauge needle dropping to empty or near empty when i knew i had at least 1/4 tank of gasoline. If i shut the engine off and started it back up the fuel gauge needle would indicate 1/4 tank, and then shortly afterward drop to empty or near empty. I did some research and found out that this problem seems to be very common and should warrant a recall. My vehicle has approximately 45,800 miles on it. In my opinion running out of fuel or being distracted by a malfunctioning fuel gauge could lead to an accident. I request that this problem is investigated and a recall is initiated immediately.
