Description of the problem	I have a 2007 nissan frontier pick up truck that i bought new. It has approximately 57k miles on it. About 6 months ago, the fuel sending gauge began malfunctioning. After a fuel fill up it would register full however after a few minutes it would drop to the empty position and the service engine light would come on ( it is still on now). I took it to the dealer and he informed me that it would cost $650 to repair. Since it was not covered under warranty and i didn't have the money to pay for it, i didn't have it repaired. I googled some information regarding the nissan fuel sending unit to see if i could make the repair myself and found that many other owners of nissan products have had this same problem. I'm more than a little frustrated that the dealer never mentioned this as a problem. I have a daughter who uses this truck at james madison university. I've told her to check the tripometer etc but i'm afraid that she will forget and at some point run out of gas. This presents a major concern for my wife and me.
