Description of the problem	2007 nissan frontier. Consumer writes in regards to defect in fuel level sending unit tgw the consumer stated on june 30, 2012, the check engine light illuminated. The consumer took the vehicle to the dealer, where she was informed the fuel level sending unit needed to be replaced. At the time, they did research and she was informed the part had an extended warranty with an expiration date of 09/22/12 or 72,000 miles. The consumer stated she was not notified of an extended warranty. The consumer was informed the original owner's information was still in the database. Nissan stated they were not going to replace the part, because the vehicle was over required mileage. jb
