Description of the problem	Tlthe contact owns a 2006 nissan frontier. The ignition was started and the contact observed that the fuel gauge displayed empty, after dispensing gasoline into the fuel tank. The failure occurred on several separate occasions to include inaccurate readings. The check engine warning light also remained illuminated on the instrument panel. An authorized dealer was notified of the failures. The technician stated that there was not a safety recall and the service warranty would not cover the repair expense.
