Description of the problem	Nissan frontier 2006 fuel guage no longer working. Service engine soon light came on. Took vehicle to dealer. Vehicle has 50k miles on it. Dealer told me that this was not a recall, and since the truck is no longer under warranty, this would cost me $450 out of pocket. From reading posts on the web, i see that this is a very common problem with nissans from 2005-2007. I have no way of being sure i have sufficient fuel, which would seem, to me, to be a safety issue. What if i am caught in inclement weather with no fuel? I was told there was no danger in driving the vehicle as is...... And am trying to find out why this would not be a recall issue if so many vehicles were affected by the same thing.
