Description of the problem	Tl*the contact owns a 2006 nissan frontier. On february 1, 2010 he noticed that the fuel sensor gauge failed to display the correct amount of fuel in the tank for twenty minutes. Whenever there was a half of tank of gasoline in the vehicle, the fuel gauge didn't register that amount. He contacted the manufacturer and was advised that his vin was not included in recall 10v075000 fuel system, gasoline storage, auxiliary tank, but he should take the vehicle to the dealer to be diagnosed. A local mechanic diagnosed the failure and stated that fuel sensor caused the failure to occur; therefore, he refused to pay an additional diagnostic fee. The vehicle was not repaired and he will replace the vehicle if the manufacturer does not add his vin to the recall. The failure mileage was 46,000 and the current mileage was 51,000.
