Description of the problem	Fuel gauge began to malfunction, showing and improper amount of fuel in the tank. Check engine light stays on. Fuel gauge registers incorrect level after fueling up the vehicle. I have ran out of gas on one occasion due to this. I was on the side of a busy interstate with my 6 yr old and had to cross the interstate to get assistance. This is a safety concern. Nissan tells me that my vehicle is not included in the recall and if i want to repair the vehicle it will be at my own expense. This is a widespread problem with nissan fuel sending units on the frontier and should be fixed in a nationwide recall, not a vin specific recall. The product is faulty. Nissan and nhtsa should both be ashamed for not putting out a nationwide recall.
