| Description of the problem | I went to the gas station and filled the tank up all the way. Before i filled it the fuel gauge read slightly above a quarter tank. After i filled it i turned the car on and the needle was stuck at slightly above a quarter tank. So i turned the car off and turned it back on. The fuel gauge then dropped to the bottom and triggered the low fuel indicator along with the service engine soon indicator. Over 600 complaints have been issued and this happens on a lot of nissan cars such as the frontier, xterra, pathfinder, etc. This is a engineering design issue not a maintenance problem. |
