| Description of the problem | At highway speed of 70 mph and in a rainstorm, nissan frontier 2005 seemed to slip out of gear and never re engage. Was left on the roadside unable to shift into any gear. Motor would start and when shifted into any gear, would rev with no transmission engagement. Vehicle towed to a transmission shop who pulled the pan and found radiator fluid in the transmission. Told me that this was a common problem with frontiers, pathfinders, and xterras, but nissan was not taking responsibility for the design flaw. I am now left with a $6000. 00 dollar repair on a truck the is only worth about $6000. 00. |
