Description of the problem	Fuel level sending unit malfunctioned on nissan frontier 2005 and caused vehicle to run out of gas on interstate. Cost to replace was 700 dollars from dealer. Have not replaced yet. Fuel gauge shows empty tank to half full regardless of actual gas volume residing in the tank.
