| Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2005 nissan frontier. The contact stated after filing the vehicle with gasoline, the check engine light illuminated on the dashboard. The fuel level indicator also would not adjust to show an accurate reading of fuel levels and remained on empty. After consuming approximately one-fourth of gasoline, the fuel level indicator then began to read fuel levels. The dealer advised there were no recalls on his vehicle and any repairs would be at the owners expense. There were no repairs made to the vehicle. The contact stated the failure would recur whenever the fuel tank was filled. The failure mileage was 52,000 and the current mileage was 64,000. |
