| Description of the problem | Tl*the contact owns a 2005 nissan frontier. The contact smelled a fuel odor in the passenger compartment. While driving approximately 15 to 25 mph, a puff of smoke was noticed followed by flames in the front end of the vehicle. The tires were also burned. The fire department extinguished the fire. There were no warning lights illuminated prior to the fire. The failure was due to a leak in the fuel system in the engine compartment. The vehicle was destroyed.
