Description of the problemCvt transmission failed in middle of intersection. Lucky it re-engaged just in time to avoid being t-boned. Towed 2010 cube to dealer, determined cvt failed and needs new cvt transmission. Learned cvt transmission is covered in service campaign but nissan still refused to correct known issue stating it was out of warranty. This is a huge safety issue that nissan is refusing to avoiding notifying owners of the risk of driving a 2010 cube. Mileage is just over 120,000 miles. Other than the abrupt transmission failure when driving, the car is in great condition. Not only is nissan selling cubes that go just over 120,000 then break, they are hiding in the fact this is a huge safety issue. Nissan wants $4,500 to fix a safety problem they 100% know is a big issue.
