| Description of the problem | My wife and i own a 2008 nissan armada. During my wife's commute home the inside control panel feel from the inside of the vehicle causing her to almost collide with another vehicle. I took the vehicle to my local dealer and explained to them that the reason it fell was due to the plastic clips that held it up were brittle from extreme heat exposure. Their is no barrier protection from the roof of the car to the plastic clips that hold it. This console weighs about 25-30 pounds, and could hurt any passengers in the middle or back of the vehicle. If insulation was installed in between the vehicle's shell and the interior of the roof this could be avoided. This would avoid extreme heat from hurting the integrity of the plastic clips, or metal clips should be used. |
