Description of the problem	I was traveling on the interstate and when i stepped on the brake, my brake light came on immediately, a loud clunking noise, the brake petal became very mushy, & i had to press it all the way to the floor in order to stop. Fortunately i was exiting the interstate with no other vehicles close. Front and rear brakes had been replaced recently and all looked fine when we pulled over to check them. When we turned the vehicle back on the light was off and the brakes functioned normally. Decided to drive to relatives home close by, about 3 miles down the road same thing happened again. Turned vehicle off and restarted again the brakes were back to normal. This same problem occurs sporadically and each time resolves temporarily by turning vehicle off and back on. Serious safety concerns, always keep plenty of stopping distance just in case.
