| Description of the problem | Issue with abs engaging at inappropriate times at low speeds creating an inability to brake. My wife drove through a stop sign with all 4 of my kids the first time it happened and lucked out. It just happened again today. At a speed of only 4 miles per hour, i noticed the brake light came on, i drove through the green light, only accelerating enough to get to a side road. When i tried to brake, there was a crunching/grinding noise from under the hood. After the first time this occurred to my wife, i replaced the brake booster (hell of a job) and i installed new rotors and pads all the way around as the brake booster was told to be the issue after nissan was sued for the problem as it grew. It still never became a tsb and i have a half ton death trap in my driveway. |
