| Description of the problem | While driving the brake light came on spontaneously. When i pushed the brake pedal a loud grinding and spring like noise came from the armada, and the brake power was almost completely gone. I pulled over to the side of the road, turned the vehicle off and restarted it after a few minutes. The brake light was gone and the breaks worked perfectly. I continued to drive and while on the interstate it happened again. This time i had to use the emergency break to stop. I took it to my mechanic and he told me the entire brake system is good, not one issue. He researched online and this issue has been reported thousands of times. There is even a video posted of the exact same issue. After calling my local nissan dealer and the customer service department about this concern i'm waiting for a response from the case filed. However, the people who have previously filed all state that nissan is not providing a solution. This is a huge safety issue! I don't know if you have any idea what it is like driving down the road in a very large vehicle with a 6 month old baby in the back and suddenly losing your breaking power, but it scared me beyond explanation. Something needs done about this problem before something horrible happens! |
