Description of the problem	As i was driving at stop and go traffic speeds of 25 mph or less, my brake light came on with a spongy feeling from the brake pedal as well as a grinding noise from the brakes. Brought vehicle to sears and they did a brake inspection (mechanical) and found nothing wrong. Paid for a brake inspection and they recommended replacement of brake pads but i had recently inspected brakes at another shop that did not recommend replacement. On 2/28/12, same problem occurred and i pulled to the side of the road and turned the car off, inspected brake fluid (sat) and started the engine back up with no signs of failure. Took vehicle to my personal mechanic and code reader found c1179 delta stroke sensor fault. He reset it and problem has since gone away but i am weary of brake reliability in the future.
