Description of the problemWe purchased our car used with 53,000 miles on it. Upon reaching 60,000 miles we heard some knocking and periodically smelled exhaust in the cabin while driving. We took it to the dealership for diagnosis and was told that both exhaust manifolds were cracked and needed replaced. We were also told that nissan did extend the warranty for this issue on some 2006 armadas to 80,000 miles, however the time period had been too long for our car to be covered. I contact nissan consumer affairs directly and was told that there was nothing that they could help us with, and were not even willing to tell me if this is a known issue with this year and model of vehicle. I have seen several complaints from other consumers with the same year and model online, and it appears there have not been enough issues yet for nissan to take any really responsibility.
