| Description of the problem | While driving, the following indicator lights came on: vdc, abs and brake. When i applied the brakes, there was a horrible grinding noise which scared me to death. I continued on cautiously and fortunately it did not make the same sound the next time i braked. The nissan service department said it was a sensor that went bad and the abs brake system that possibly was bad. I paid over $500 to get it fixed and had to sign an agreement that what they did may not fix it, and if so, the brake booster would then need to be replaced at a cost of $1000. I found out afterwards that there had been a recall of the very same issue but not on my vehicle because the vin did not match the recall. Very suspect. |
