Description of the problemDriving on the interstate i started to hear a metal on metal squealing noise. My parking brake light came on and i pulled off to the side thinking i had forgotten to depress the brake. However, it didn't work. After driving again i couldn't use the brakes so i called the tow and went to the nissan dealership i was using before. I was told i needed a brake booster replacement. This was almost $1000! I asked if it would fix the issue. I was told yes and that i needed to fix it before it caused a fatality. Of course this scared me and i told them to fix whatever was needed. Twenty-two hundred dollars later and a few months and i'm looking at the same issue happening again. When i notified nissan they have been too "busy" and said to schedule an appointment. Um, excuse me i can't drive my car! The nonchalant attitude, coupled with the subpar resolution, has me furious. I don't know what to say or think. I feel helpless. This is my only vehicle, it's completely paid off and i don't have room to get another one. I'm with the other posts here that nissan should value our patronage and look into a fix for this. If that happens to be a replacement vehicle then so be it. But, something needs to be done soon before someone gets hurt due to their negligence.
