Description of the problem	When my 2005 armada brake light came on i pressed the brake and there was a loud grinding noise that also sounded like a spring. I pulled over and restarted my armada and the brake light and noise went away. I took it to the dealership and they said they were unable to find anything wrong. So the same thing happened again a few weeks later, again i took it to the dealership and they said nothing was wrong. They said next time the issue comes up do not turn the vehicle off and bring it into the dealership so they can test it with the brake light on. This was very inconvenient because the next two times it happened the dealership was closed. Finally when it happened again the dealership was open and they were able to test it. It turns out the brake booster is failing and would cost $900 to fix. Since my armada was no longer under warranty it was not covered but when i brought it in to the dealership originally i had 30k miles, plus i bought a 75k extended warranty. I have seen several reports of this problem online and can't figure out why this is not a recall due to the fact the brakes should be the safest thing on your vehicle.
