Description of the problem	My vehicle's cvt transmission failed at 97,000 miles. I experienced the same symptoms everyone else has experienced with this transmission - vibrations, wildly fluctuating rpms and frequent downshifts. Within a matter of a few days the transmission started slipping. I feel lucky i wasn't killed when my vehicle's transmission slipped while i was attempting to cross traffic. After my local nissan dealer quoted me a price of $4,087 for a transmission replacement, i called nissan customer care and requested they cover the replacement cost of the cvt but they refused. No three-year-old, normally-driven vehicle under 100,000 miles should ever have its transmission fail. The nissan cvt problem is a national travesty. I was a nissan customer for life but will never purchase nor endorse their vehicles ever again.
