Description of the problem	The plastic hanging rod of driver side sun visor was broken and dropped while driving, blocking the view of driver. I was surprised to find out the hanging rod is made of plastic, since the visor needs to be inserted back to position with force and is used on daily basis. After online search, i have realized this problem is common for nissan brand. The dealership asks more than $200 plus tax for this part. I have a prefered gold extended warranty, which does not cover this defective part. My car is 2015 model. How can a manufacturer use a plastic for a hanging rod , because it is hidden underneath the fabric of the visor? It is a fraudulent design using a plastic, which can not sustain the force and destined for failure. It is a safety issue, since it failed while i was driving and dropped in front of me, blocking my view of road.
