| Description of the problem | Tl* the contact's daughter-in-law owns a 2014 nissan altima. The contact stated that while driving down a side street she heard a popping noise and had trouble steering the vehicle. An unknown warning light flashed on the instrument panel. The contact test drove the vehicle and while attempting to reverse, the rear wheel collapsed under the weight of the vehicle. The contact believed that it was the rear lower control arm that was fractured. Nissan 112 (730 medford ave, patchogue, ny 11772, (631) 417-3236) stated that the failure was not covered under warranty or recall. The vehicle was not repaired.
